This video (albeit suspiciously looking like a high school video project, LOL) is rather informative about the Cryptosporidium parasite, which infected me two half years ago when I still wasn’t on life saving HIV antiretroviral therapy yet.
I was hospitalised for Cryptosporidiosis for nearly two months, I nearly died. I lost ALOT of weight, at worst, 56kg? I am very lucky to be alive and well.
My mistake was refusing to start my HIV drugs when the doctor advised me to, for fear I could not afford treatment since I am still in school. That nearly cost my life.
If you are HIV+, and when your doctor advises you to begin your ARV treatment, please do it. Dying in vain because you are afraid benefits no one, especially yourself. Live to tell your story, keep fighting and win this race. Your race.
